When is the best time to capture my bump?
I recommend 32-36 weeks. This is the perfect time when you will feel most likely to want to show off your belly.
When should I book my newborn shoot?
Newborn babies ideally need to be photographed under two weeks old to get the type of images you see on this website. I like to photograph baby at one week if this is possible. After two weeks of age babies can be harder to settle and baby spots and colic can happen however we may be able to photograph at three weeks. Please feel free to contact me anytime during your pregnancy and I can pencil a date in based on your due date then once you have had baby you can get ask your partner to contact me if you are in hospital or send me a quick email yourself when you are home & we can arrange the best day for your newborn photo session.
Can we have our newborn photo session at home?
Most sessions are held at my home based studio in Purley but It can be very hard getting organised and getting out in the early days after having baby and difficult for a new mum to travel to me which I understand. I have limited sessions available where I can come to you. I may have to add a small cost for travelling.
Once we have booked your newborn session in the diary I will send you out some information to help organise baby for the session.
Where will my maternity shoot be held?
I love natural light. We can go to a location or I can come to your home and I will select the best areas in your home where the natural light falls to show the most attractive angle and light onto your baby bump. I am happy to bring the studio to you if you prefer that look. Please feel free to have your partner, children or pets at the shoot too.
I am a little nervous about having my bump photographed
Try to love your body and embrace this amazing moment and the beauty from within will show in your pictures. Sometimes I will get you to look up or down at your bump use these moments to think about your plans for baby, how excited you are to meet your brand new baby. That warm and glowing look will radiate in every image. I felt really nervous at my bump shoot and even came out in a rash where I was very nervous so I will also make you feel completely relaxed, make you laugh and you will enjoy your session from start to finish.
